The second in In The Welsh Wind Distillery's trio of Blended Welsh Malt Whiskies, we are proud to introduce Ceredig. Building on the reputation of Brychan, Ceredig sources the highest quality Welsh malts to complement ITTW's own in-house produced whisky.
In this expression In The Welsh Wind debut their green malt whisky outside of a single malt for the first time. Showcasing the true taste of Ceredigion fields, the raw green barley notes are prevalent but balanced beautifully with kilned barley whisky aged in ex-bourbon and port barrels. Blended at the distillery close to the Ceredigion coast, this edition draws on the spirit of Ceredig, the lobster man, unloading his wares at New Quay.
Each drop carries a sense of passage: rich, seasoned, and quietly transformed over time, brought together like treasured cargoes of days gone by.
Tasting notes: Red Berries, Vanilla, Custard, Oaked Red Wine, finishing with long savoury notes of cut grass and raw grain — a whisky with an interesting, mellow character.
Best enjoyed neat, warmed in your hand, or try it in an Amaro Cymru cocktail!
